Position Summary:

We are building a forward-thinking data team to tackle complex business challenges and enhance both our business operations and client experience. We are seeking a Data Specialist who is skilled at analyzing large data sets within the commercial business domain, creating seamless business user experiences, and providing actionable insights to drive growth. This role involves collaborating with business leaders across various departments to assess data needs, identify reporting solutions, and create impactful products using tools like SQL, Power BI, and SAS. You will work in a diverse environment, helping to shape data-driven decisions that positively impact the organization and its clients.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and Implement BI Reports:
    • Create dashboards and reporting solutions that provide a consistent experience for business users.
    • Translate business requirements into technical specifications to develop insightful reports.
    • Work with data modeling to transform raw data into actionable insights and perform advanced queries to support business decisions.
    • Develop Data Extracts:
      • Collaborate with business teams to gather data requirements, extract, and transform data using SQL and SAS for use in reporting and dashboards.
      • Design and develop customized data visualizations, calculations, and business intelligence solutions.
      • Incentive Plan Support:
        • Track and update key performance indicators for incentive plans.
        • Maintain and develop reporting solutions to support incentive programs, including ad-hoc and recurring reports.
        • Lead communication efforts regarding incentive calculations, ensure accurate documentation, and support stakeholders with plan details.
        • Core Data Analytics Responsibilities:
          • Build and maintain data models, dashboards, and systems that inform business decisions.
          • Evaluate data and trends proactively to identify emerging business opportunities.
          • Ensure data accuracy, reporting consistency, and adherence to established policies and standards.

          Qualifications and Skills:
          • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
          • Experience in banking or finance is a plus.
          • Expertise in SQL and data modeling techniques.
          • Strong Power BI experience, including DAX, Power Query, and dashboard creation.
          • Proficient in Microsoft applications (MS365).
          • 2-3 years of experience in developing BI reports and dashboards, with an emphasis on Power BI.
          • Experience programming with query languages such as SQL, SAS, R, or Python.
          • Experience in integrating Microsoft BI Stack components, including Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Azure services.
          • Solid project management and business analysis skills, with a preference for experience in agile methodologies.

          • Ability to generate valuable insights and recommendations for the business.
