About the RoleIn this role, you will contribute to improving the infrastructure of customer service and messaging systems that allow Etsy to provide efficient, high-quality, and scalable support. The team’s mission is to deliver accurate information and prompt, satisfactory resolutions to Etsy members, ensuring positive and consistent experiences for our customers. As part of an established team of experienced engineers, you will receive strong support during your onboarding to set you up for success.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Collaborate with engineers at various levels to learn Etsy's software development processes.
- Work with stakeholders to enhance existing internal tools or create new ones to optimize workflows.
- Engage in continuous learning, sharing insights with your team, and contributing to code and design reviews.
- Push code to production regularly via Etsy’s continuous deployment systems.
- Value empathy, ownership, communication, and technical skill equally in your work.
- Maintain high standards of code quality through reviews and collaboration.
- Expect a dynamic role where tasks may evolve over time in alignment with Etsy's needs and goals.
- Proficiency in PHP, Scala, React, and full-stack development.

- Excellent communication skills, able to efficiently share ideas with teammates.
